A framed color photograph by North Carolina based Alex Harris titled "Las Vegas, New Mexico, Looking East from Myles Sweeney's Chevrolet Impala, July 1987". This photograph is featured in Alex Harris' book, "Red, White, Blue, and God Bless You: a Portrait of Northern New Mexico", published 1992. Harris' work is represented in numerous collections including the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art, the J.Paul Getty Museum, the Museum of Modern Art New York. As a photographer and editor, he has published fourteen books, most recently The Idea of Cuba, co-published by the University of New Mexico Press and the Center for Documentary Studies, Duke University. His work was the subject of an extensive exhibit at the Getty Center of photographers of Cuba which included the work of Harris' mentor Walker Evans.
